Why Choose Us
If peace, tranquility and relaxation are important factors in your choice of holiday location, then Lowfields has to the be ideal park for you. We are surrounded by woodland and natural beauty at Lowfields which offers an abundance of wildlife and nature, including 8 mature, well-stocked fishing lakes, with fish of all kinds and sizes including Mirror, Common, Crucian and Ghost Carp, Bream, Tench, Rudd, Roach, Ide and Golden Orfe. We offer all our owners and holidaymakers exclusive, private fishing across our 8 lakes and we don’t have reserved pegs or day tickets which only adds to the overall enjoyment of your fishing experience and of the park.
However, if fishing isn’t your hobby then Lowfields still has plenty to offer with scenic walks around the lakes and surrounding countryside, lots of variations of nature to enjoy and plenty of activities nearby. The park has an air of peace and tranquility that most parks can never achieve. Being so close to Lincoln, you get the chance to enjoy what the city has to offer too – including historical attractions, shops, bars, cinema and the Theatre too.
The park is steeped in history with the two main lakes dating back to the late 1700’s when the setting was used as a clay brick working, providing the finest brick materials for local dwellings. The site then became an established fishery in the early 1900’s.The name ‘Lowfields’ was established in 1987 and since then we have nurtured a site of high quality and standards which has gained the prestigious David Bellamy GOLD Conservation Award for a few years now.
We acknowledge that people want a beautiful site where quality reigns throughout, we are not a ‘kiss me quick’ park and we believe that ‘Exclusivity’ is a very important factor at Lowfields. All of this has achieved Lowfields an envious reputation as the ‘Premier Angling Venue in the East of England’. If you like what you see here, then please also take a look at our sister site, Highfields Country Holiday Fishing Retreat.
