Read below to find out what our current customers think about Holiday Home ownership at Lowfields Retreat.

We purchased our holiday home in March 2017 , after our first visit on a cold, wet, windy Sunday during February. We were shown around the park and as first impressions count, we found the park and its fishing amenities ticking most of our boxes. Having already viewed a couple of other parks with fishing, it was Lowfields that 'hooked' us. We purchased our holiday home and the sale was very quick and easy. Caravaning was completely new to us but help was on hand from a fantastic team at Lowfields. If you're looking for a park for a park that's safe (with a barrier upon entry/exit), friendly, peaceful, spacious layout in a countryside setting, 8 lakes and no day tickets or tourers, then look no further.....

Denna & Steve    March 7, 2018   Sheffield

After only one visit to Lowfields and our park tour, we decided it was the ideal place for us. We were surprised that during our first visit, we were encouraged to speak with the parks existing owners and to hear first hand from them, what they thought of the park.
We were made to feel very welcome with everyone we came across and was even invited in to an owners caravan to have a look around.
As first time caravan owners we were looking for a weekend getaway which offered peace and quiet, yet easy access to nearby facilities such as Lincoln and the surrounding villages.
Buying our holiday home couldn't have been easier and from our visit to being given our keys, this was done in a very short period of time and we were kept informed at all stages of the sale.
Everyone seems friendly and helpful and the secluded location of the park really does tick those extra boxes for us. We look forward to spending more time on the park and to catch a few more fish too!

Lee & Joanne Shaw    September 29, 2017   Newark, Nottinghamshire

We have never wanted to wish the winter months away as we do right now....
From the first moment we visited Lowfields in August, we knew this was the place for us and we've not been disappointed. Since we purchased our holiday home we have enjoyed every weekend and a couple of weeks at the park and I must say, it ticks every box for both of us.
The team at Lowfields have always been very helpful and understanding as we are both very new to this kind of lifestyle. The park is everything we wanted - excellent fishing with a good variety of lakes that are never crowded, an amazing 'community' spirit of like-minded owners where we have already made lots of new friends but most of all.....
It's the peaceful and tranquil setting where all our day to day stresses are forgotten. We are really looking forward to spending so much more of our free time at the park and it has made us both realise that this way of life is definitely the way forward for us - and it could be for you too!

Mick & Suzanne Foley    September 16, 2017   Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

My wife and I have been taking holidays at Lowfields for over 10 years. We enjoy the peace and quiet, the fishing and relaxation and so much so, we took the plunge and bought our first ever caravan in 2017. During our time spent at Lowfields (both as a holidaymaker and more recently as a holiday home owner) we have made some really good friends on the park who all seem to be so helpful. The staff are always on hand if you need any help or advice too so you never feel out of your depth with anything. We have two dogs and they love spending time at Lowfields too with plenty of dog walks and country parks close by. The park itself is well maintained, very clean and tidy and we love its location too. Less than a 15 minute drive into the centre of Lincoln or the market town of Newark and the Lincolnshire coastline is only an hours drive away too! Purchasing a holiday home at Lowfields has been one of our best decisions we've ever made!

Anita & Peter Brummitt    September 9, 2017   Sheffield

Having taken the plunge and purchased our first (but definitely not our last) caravan at Lowfields this year, it was our best decision ever. My husband is a keen fisherman and loves the fact that he can fish on any of the 8 lakes on the park, which offer a diverse range of fish to catch ranging from huge Carp to smaller Roach and much more. I love the great range of wildlife you see on a daily basis and the slow pace of life.
The walks we have with the dogs are lovely here too and of course, stopping at the 'local' for some much needed refreshment is a great way to finish the walks off.
Arriving each weekend as I walk up the lane with my dogs, I can feel the stress of my working week leave me and by the time I reach our caravan, I have a huge smile back on my face.
If you need a little 'retail therapy' you have to try Newark, with its little boutique shops set along the cobbled market place. You can find everything from home made cakes to fresh fruit and vegetables, tea shops and much more.
If you too are looking for some peace and quiet, tucked away in some stunning countryside, brilliant fishing, welcoming and friendly owners and fabulous staff - who are only too pleased to help you - then you will find it here at Lowfields.

Alan & Mandy Simpson    August 16, 2017   Hyde, Cheshire

We first found Lowfields via their website and watched the video which had us hooked. We arranged a visit to the park and simply fell in love with the place as it was everything we were looking for. We loved it so much that we decided to buy a brand new holiday home (that was on order but not yet delivered) at the park and this was largely due to the park being pretty full and that it was going to be sited on a fantastic lakeside pitch and we didn't want to miss the opportunity of being able to wake up every morning with a view that captures the whole essence of the park. We were a little hesitant when we got the call from Lowfields to come and take our first viewing of our holiday home when it arrived on park but there was nothing to worry about - we absolutely loved it!
The park lives up to all our expectations and even exceeds them in many ways. Coming from a very built up area that offers very little countryside & wildlife, Lowfields is the place that fills this gap in our lives and we love spending time at the park and visiting the surrounding areas too. We've already ventured out to Lincoln, Newark, Gainsborough and we're only an hour's drive away from the Lincolnshire coast too.
Our final recommendation to you is that 'We wish we'd done it sooner'.... so what are you waiting for?

Sue & Nick Young    July 31, 2017   Stanmore, Middlesex

As a first time caravan owners (purchasing a pre-owned caravan in 2015) I was amazed at how lucky I've been to have found Lowfields Retreat. It is so peaceful and tranquil and such a pleasant a place in which to unwind from the day to day hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I have enjoyed it so much that I have now upgraded to a brand new caravan and hope to enjoy many long and happy times here at Lowfields.
The team are so helpful and always willing and able to offer advice and guidance on many aspects of owning your own caravan and I cannot thank them enough.
I would recommend Lowfields to anyone looking for a place to 'escape' to as it ticks all the boxes for me.

James Bole, Chesham, Bucks    July 22, 2017

Lowfields is our little piece of heaven..... We've had our caravan for a few months now and the park is so peaceful, relaxed, quiet friendly and the Lowfields team are there for you whenever you need them.
The other owners we've met are amazing too, everyone helps everyone which makes you feel totally safe and respected.
Seeing the wildlife from my own windows (which is quite a rarity for me) and the fishing which is only a stones throw away from our holiday home, what more could you ask for?
Come and say 'hi' to us and let us, Lowfields owners, share our idea of 'heaven' with you.

Ed & Sue Jackson    June 28, 2017   Hatfield, Hertfordhsire

We were looking for peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got when we purchased our very own holiday home here at Lowfield's Country Retreat. We've had our caravan for several months now and we're pleased say that the park is still very peaceful, extremely well kept and the team at Lowfield's cannot do enough for you and nothing is too much trouble.
The fishing here is great and whichever lake you choose, you will always find a peg. We've been made to feel welcome by everyone else on the park too and we've made some great new friends.
The park is less than 8 miles away from the beautiful City of Lincoln so when we're not fishing, we're shopping or sightseeing so you could say we've got the 'best of both worlds'.

Mark & Clare Bryce    May 26, 2017   Doncaster, South Yorkshire

We are first time buyers and chose Lowfields to purchase our very own holiday home which has been one of our best ever decisions. We've been coming to the park as often as we can as we really enjoy the peace and quiet the park has to offer. I don't fish but my 'hubby' does and he loves it! He can really chill out when he's here and get chance to re-charge his batteries. There is plenty to do out and about and we thoroughly enjoy the long walks you can take at Whisby Nature Reserve, which is only 2 miles from the park and the area also offers plenty of shopping too - which keeps me happy!

Peter & Jenny Occleshaw    May 26, 2017   Nottingham

We fell in love with Lowfields from the first time we visited the park. It feels almost like a 'nature reserve' with beautiful lakes and over hanging trees and lots of wildlife. It's so peaceful here, we decided to spend most of our weekends at our caravan during the Summer and Autumn months so we can simply 'get away from it all'.
The other owners and the staff are so friendly too. My husband loves to fish whilst I simply enjoy time to relax, read a book or do things I usually never get time for at home. We are looking forward to spending many more happy years here at Lowfields Retreat.

Brian & Carol Kime    May 19, 2017   Worksop, Nottinghamshire

My wife and I visited over 100 different holiday parks over the past few years seeking an idyllic park and one which allows us to have an extended summer holiday in the UK whilst staying in South Africa for the remainder of the year. We found only 2 parks that met with our needs and we visited them both on two separate occasions. The friendly, yet professional assistance and advice we received during our visits to Lowfields was the deciding factor in choosing this park. We spend the summer months in our holiday home and what an absolute pleasure it's been. The park and the team are everything we have hoped for - and more besides. The park itself is so relaxing too so when we've spent time away from the park visiting friends and family members, its such a great relief to come back to Lowfields. We have great neighbours and everyone we come in to contact with on park all seem very relaxed and very friendly.
I would strongly recommend a visit (or two) to Lowfields before considering any other park in the UK. We did and we don't regret our decision.

Jeff & Lynn Pitcock    May 1, 2017   Cape Town, South Africa

Looking back over our first season here at Lowfields, it has been simply amazing. It's a well run, friendly park with great fishing, loads of wildlife and dog friendly too. There are some excellent pubs nearby for eating and enjoying the odd drink or two and everyone here has made us feel very welcome. Looking forward to our next season already!

Tina & Martyn Reynolds    April 28, 2017

We bought our first ever caravan from Lowfields in 2017 because we found the park to be friendly and in a great location - quiet and peaceful but not too far away from civilization.
I'm a keen fisherman and enjoy the variety of lakes (and fish) on offer and there's never a shortage of pegs too.
We've made some great new friends during our time spent at our holiday home and I would recommend Lowfields to anyone who is looking to buy their very own caravan on a well-run park that offers lots of peace, tranquility and relaxation.

Steve Spick    February 15, 2017   Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

"We really did not know where to start when we had decided to invest in a holiday static caravan, where to go? who to talk to? who to trust even more importantly, however by making a call to Tracy at Lowfields Retreat it was so right from the minute we arrived on the park mid July 2016 to meet the team and view a used caravan for sale on Willow Lake.

Needless to say we invested and had the keys August bank holiday, we live in Leicester so a 50 minute drive and we are in our second home, Nev, Lyz, Sandra, Rob, Tracy and all the team at Lowfield's have made us so welcome as have other owners, what really sold this place is the 11 month occupancy and also no sub letting, so your neighbours from home really make it home from home.
Our first holiday home investment and thanks to Lowfields we got it right first time, thank you."

After having our summer holidays for the last three years at Lowfields, we decided to buy a caravan of our own .The holiday park has everything you need and especially if you want some peace and quiet , beautiful scenery and is surrounded by friendly people. There are plenty of good lakes with a large variety of fish to catch. The park staff are very helpful friendly and will help you with any problem that may arise. As we are both retired Lowfields is the ideal place for us to wander around the park chatting to other people ,or go into Lincoln or Newark for shopping.

Richard & Anita Hall    September 26, 2016

Having spent quite a few holidays at Lowfields, we knew from the first visit that this is where we would like to buy a holiday home. We felt so at home. On our holiday in September, we found the perfect caravan for us situated overlooking Stock Lake. The staff are very friendly and so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The park is well maintained and the caravan owners we have met are very friendly.
We are excited to be able to spend our first year as caravan owners and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Muriel & Satch Armstrong    September 9, 2016   Leicestershire

What can we say about Lowfield's? Staff are very friendly ,always ready with a smile or a helping hand. The Park itself, well you just have to take a look around and you'll see that it's worth the investment of owning your very own holiday home. Other owners are friendly, you will be surprised how long it can take to walk the dog, a chat here and there. For us the Park is an Oasis and we're already looking forward to the new season.

Ian & Zena Crewe    September 1, 2016   Nuneaton

We bought our caravan in Apr 2016 after a couple of visits to the park . Each visit was a pleasant experience for us to get the feel of the park without any heavy sales (which we did have elsewhere).
The park and its grounds are well kept and the owners are a very friendly bunch. Nev and his team are always willing to help . It's the ideal weekend getaway for us with it being only 45 mins drive from home, we can be spontaneous with our visits...The fishing is good and varied with its choice of 8 lakes. Being only 10 mins from Lincoln and having plenty of places to walk to around the site its some of the main reasons why we decided to invest in our very own holiday home here at Lowfields.
All in all well worth a visit if you're thinking of buying a static caravan!

Andy & Marie    July 14, 2016   Rotherham

Being first time caravan owners we were very impressed with what we saw on our visit to Lowfields as it suited our needs, a quiet, relaxed holiday park. Our dogs are welcome too and there are some nice walks nearby and the dogs quite often drag us to one or two of the local pubs (more training needed as I am sure they haven't taken us to them all yet).
There is plenty of wildlife to be seen and the fishing is good too though you don't have to be a fisher person to enjoy the lifestyle on offer at Lowfields and the other residents we have met so far (we haven't been there a year as yet) are a real friendly bunch.

Paul Sotheron    June 15, 2016

"From the minute we entered Lowfields park, we knew it was the right one for us. We were made to feel very welcome both by the staff and the other owners on the park from the outset. It was obvious from our very informal park tour just how well maintained everything is. The peace and tranquillity of the setting are second to none and we can't get enough of our weekend escapes to this beautiful retreat! We also find that Lowfields is also perfectly situated between Lincoln and Newark, so there's plenty of things to do nearby. We're looking forward to spending many more breaks at Lowfields for years to come!"

Phillip & Sarah Russell    April 27, 2016   Leicester

'Over the past 2-3 years we have spent many wonderful holiday breaks here at Lowfields Fishing Retreat so we didn't take too much persuading when we decided to buy a holiday home of our own. There was a great selection of both new and pre-owned homes available and Tracy was more than happy to give us the opportunity to inspect each one.
We received all the right information in which to make a decision and purchase our own holiday home. This went very smoothly and before long, we were able to take possession and move in. A special mention must be given to Tracy and all the team at Lowfields as we have found them very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble.
We are looking forward to enjoying your holiday home for many years to come and finally, we are more than happy to recommend anyone interested in owning their very own holiday home at Lowfields to come and visit and at least take a holiday here as you'll soon see why we took the decision to buy!"

Mr & Mrs Freeman    March 15, 2016   Nottingham

"Absolutely fab place, peaceful, quiet, clean an tidy park and the staff are more than helpful. We've met a number of the other owners on the park and we've found everyone to be very welcoming and friendly. The fishing is great too and my wife particularly enjoys the wildlife seen on the park. I would recommend you come and see for yourself - we did and we certainly think it was one of our best ever decisions."

Peter O'Reilly    February 27, 2016   Warwickshire

"We decided that as we were approaching retirement, it was the right time to look at purchasing a static caravan and after trolling the internet for many hours I happened to come across Lowfields Retreat and I thought instantly that it was a good option (me being a keen angler).
I suggested to Irene that we should contact Lowfields with a view to having a tour around and maybe a look at a couple of pre-owned Caravans. That day soon arrived and we were greeted by Tracy with a welcome cup of tea, we were then invited to stroll around the park and we were both instantly impressed with the attention to detail and layout of the grounds. There were people walking and fishing and all seemed very friendly and they all took time out to say hello. After we had looked around a few Caravans we thanked Tracy for her friendly & professional approach and made our way home with a smile on our faces.
We visited on several occasions before finally purchasing a 2013 Pre-owned Caravan in November 2015 and I can honestly say that it has been the best decision we have ever made. All the staff are great, the fishing is good and the park is lovely, we also have Max (our Beagle) who loves his walks and the park is very well equipped for him too.Irene finally retires at the end of May and we hope to spend a lot more time in our little piece of heaven on earth.

Ian & Irene Vause    November 25, 2015   Stoke on Trent

"Having found Lowfields in a fishing magazine, I took the steps to make a call to come and visit the park. I was greeted by a friendly sales person who showed me a small number of caravans within my price range. I decided to purchase my very first caravan there and then as it ticked every box of what I was looking for.
After just a few months of being on the park a higher specification of pre-owned caravan to my own became available and within a short period of time I found myself upgrading! It was so easy and I was offered a great deal on my first caravan too! Being a keen fisherman, Lowfields offers a great choice of what to fish and where to fish - 8 lakes in total, and I'm still working my way around them. The best decision I've ever made was buying a holiday home at Lowfields Retreat!"

Cliff Grant    September 30, 2015   Derby

"Well! What can one say....... ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The caravan is a dream come true and neither of us ever imagined this would happen to us. The park and its location is heaven, to look out of our living room windows has the WOW' factor every time. The fishing is great with plenty of healthy, well looked after fish to catch. The other owners we've met so far are friendly, lovely, delightful people. The staff are a dream to deal with no matter what our questions or queries are. For the first time ever, I don't think either of us wanted to go back to work on Monday morning - but at least my job is more bearable knowing that we have a beautiful, second home in which to enjoy whenever we can."

Lynn Damsell & Lee Halliday    September 27, 2015   Preston, Lancs

"After many years of camping, sadly this year we decided to give it up as our bodies were telling us we are no longer young enough to cope with the camping life so a new chapter has now begun! We love country pursuits, wildlife and places of interest and of course we cannot forget fishing too. We decided that a static caravan was the answer and having looked at a few locations, we came across Lowfields and soon as we got out the car, we knew we had found the ideal park.
We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff and was given some really good information about ownership and shown a few caravans to look around. We were then equipped to make a decision on which one to buy and having only been here a few months, it really does feel like a second home to us.
We have found the walking and wildlife (which is seen on a daily basis) brilliant and its perfectly placed for visiting local attractions. The fishing is a real treat and having 8 lakes in which to choose from means you're never tired of fishing in the same place. We were sad to put closure to our camping years but roll on this new chapter of life as we look forward to spending every spare minute here."

Bev & Barry    September 3, 2015   Nottingham

"About 6 years ago my wife and I bought our first caravan at Lowfields Retreat. It was a very nice pre-owned van about 5 years old at the time. We could only get down at weekends so it suited us and was comfortable. Being so content at Lowfields, and as we are now retired, we decided to upgrade this year to a new ABI Sunningdale overlooking Eagle Lake and we are absolutely overjoyed with our purchase. The park is ideally located between Lincoln and Newark, both steeped in history and Eileen says are great for a bit of retail therapy too! Also, as dog owners we found good walks both on the park and the surrounding countryside. The team at Lowfields are excellent, with nothing being too much trouble. They have a job to do of course, keeping the park clean and tidy but they are all friendly and willing to help. We look forward to many more happy years at Lowfields!"

Pete & Eileen McKay    August 30, 2015   Sheffield

""Just a few words to let you know I have 'died and gone to heaven' - or at least Lowfields Fishing Retreat. I am having the time of my life with good fishing, a lovely park that's kept very clean and where everyone is very friendly. Tracy and Nev are very helpful and they will do anything they can to make your life easier and they always stop and have a chat and a laugh and check to make sure everything's ok with me - which it always is. "

Mick Gent    July 14, 2015   South Yorkshire

We found Lowfields Retreat on the internet and I talked my wife into a visiting the park with a view to hire and book a holiday in their Rental Lodge. First thing you notice is the tranquility and beauty of the site. We looked at several pre-owned caravans and were given a great tour of the site. This looked like heaven to me as I am keen angler but my wife had never shown any interest in purchasing. We fell in love with a Willerby Winchester and at the reasonable price placed our deposit and eventually purchased and chose a pitch. After two years on the site, and with my wife now in love with Lowfields, we have recently upgraded to a new Willerby Atlanta and this is absolutely fantastic. We are also dog owners and this site is excellent for pets and walking etc. People and Staff on the park are so friendly and the pitch fee is most reasonable. I would recommend this site to all, when you visit other Static Caravan Parks they feel claustrophobic but here you have space and your own second home. Continual improvements seem to be the owners priority hence 5 star status.

Bert & Maria Keary    June 30, 2015   Kirton in Lindsey

"Lowfields Fishing Retreat was the first we visited after looking at several on the Internet. We were extremely impressed with the layout, peace, tranquility and beauty of the site and bought our caravan straight away. With 8 fishing lakes, it offers a brilliant choice of lakes in which to fish from. The staff work very hard in the office and on site to ensure sure everything runs smooth and are always on hand with any problems that arise. The site only closes for one month per year (on many sites you will find this can be up to 4months). We visit our caravan most weekends, we love it and look forward to many more happy years"

Cath & Chris Ellis    June 19, 2015   Cleethorpes

The decision to site our touring caravan or purchase a static caravan was made on our first visit to Lowfields, we were so impressed with the tranquillity of the park and its surroundings that we were both enthralled that we purchased a caravan on the Park. We have used it at every available opportunity since 'to get away'. to enjoy the local wildlife in peaceful & quiet surroundings and the fishing.  We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived by the Park Staff and the other Residents, Lowfields is a 'little piece of Eden' and we never want to leave after a visit but when we have to we are already looking forward to our next time on the Park.

Peter and Sandra Hedley    December 1, 2014

We have been existing owners at Lowfields Fishing Retreat for 5 years now and we still enjoy every second we're here as it is a 'little piece of heaven'. So much so, we decided to upgrade our caravan this year to a new model which has been a true investment in to our lifestyle. Lowfields offers a safe, welcoming environment for us, both from the owners on the park and the staff.

David and Maureen Baxter    November 1, 2014   Nottingham

When we came across the Lowfields site on the website, we were quickly offered a guided tour of the park and during the tour, we were impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. The other owners on the park are also very friendly and the site is well maintained and the fishing is great too! There is an abundance of wildlife and Lowfields truly is a GREAT Retreat!

Mick and Tina Howlett    August 31, 2014   Derbyshire

We purchased our first holiday home at Lowfields in 2013 and wish we had done this years ago! The site is peaceful, people friendly and staff friendly and helpful. We upgraded earlier this year to make sure we stay here much longer than originally planned

Mr and Mrs Ward    April 30, 2014   Warwickshire

"We've been at Lowfields for over 6 years now and decided it was the place to stay when we looked at upgrading our caravan ready for the winter months. We are thrilled to bits with the overall experience here at the park - the staff, our caravan, the sales experience and the space between each caravan is fantastic. It's a haven for peace and tranquillity - that's why we've been here for so long and wouldn't think of going anywhere else to enjoy our retirement years."

Ken & Glynis Redburn    November 15, 2013   Lancashire

"We'd booked a holiday at Lowfields in April 2013 but decided to visit the park a month earlier. Despite it being a cold, wet, miserable day, we fell in love with the place, cancelled our holiday and purchased a caravan. We later upgraded our caravan in August 2013. Due to the tranquillity and friendliness we just love our time at Lowfields - a perfect place to unwind after a busy week at work, no matter what time of year. Oh, and the fishing isn't bad either!"

Karen & Tommo    August 9, 2013   Northants

We have had a pitch at Lowfields for over 5 years and find the surroundings peaceful and the people friendly. With this in mind, we recently upgraded to a new holiday home and are looking forward to many more years at the site,
